Avon nailwear pro in Plum Crazy

Hey everyone!
Today's post is a NOTD. I love collecting nail paints. Have a look at my nail paint collection here. I have added many more to the collection. I shall do an updated collection soon.
Avon has some really affordable nail paints with an enormous shade range! And they are on offer most of the time! This shade "plum crazy" was among the very first nail paints from Avon.
This is a violety plum shade with micro shimmer particles. It brightens my fingers and my mood as well!

I dont remember the price for which i got this, i think it was Rs.99.

In as much as i love this shade, this one chips the very next day on my nails :( Usually nail paints chip faster on my nails, but this chips super fast even if i apply 2 coats (sans topcoat). It lasts for a day with topcoat.

Hope you can see the violety tinge to it!
So ladies, if you want to collect some nice intense shades and dont mind hetting chipped in 2 days, go for it!

By the way, if anyone wants Avon products, please drop a mail to mymakeuppedia@gmail.com.

Vichy NORMADERM tri-active cleanser

Hey everyone!
In continuation with my previous post, here is the Vichy NORMADERM tri-active cleanser review. I wanted to get the NORMADERM gel cleanser and the anti imperfections cream from Health & Glow. The SA said i would get a 10% (or 15% sorry don't remember) off if i shopped for some extra amount. So i got this incredible product just to increase my bill amount to get that discount. And i fell in love with the product the first time i used it.
Vichy says:
Can be used as a mask : Leave the texture on for some minutes until the texture dries, to deeply purify and mattify skin.
Can be used as a scrub : If have micro-beads also offer an exfoliating action
Can be used as a foaming cream : Use just like a cleansing gel to softly purify skin
(make the texture foam with water)

 Ingredients:

My experience: This is a light green creamy thick paste with blue micro beads. The first time i used it as a scrub (one would need just two pea sized amount for the entire face and neck) and was left with soft and smooth skin post scrubbing. Next i wanted to use it as a mask (ever seen toothpaste adds on tv? Yeah that is all you will need for applying it as a thick mask!) and let it sit on my face till it dried. It dries to form a smooth chalky layer. I feared it would be difficult to wash and that it would be abrasive on my skin because of its thick consistency. But to my surprise, it washed off as smoothly as possible with a very mild yet effective exfoliation unlike most scratchy scrubs. I would rate it 5/5 just for this feature. It did not scratch any of my acne. Despite being thick it spreads like a dream. It is not quite economical to use it as a wash as one requires a lot of the product to lather. Every time i used this, i felt my skin even and smooth in texture. This small 50 ml tube lasts for a good 4 months on regular usage. I am almost done with the first tube and gonna get the second one! I would suggest to use it as a scrub or a mask.

The only negative thing that i can think of is the way in which the product gets accumulated near the mouth of the tube and dries to form a mess if not wiped off regularly.

Price : Rs.390 for 50 ml.

The good :
1.  Mild and effective scrub.
2. Excellent as a mask and washes off easily.
3. The amount of the product required to scrub the face once is very little.
4. Worth for the price, considering the number of months it lasts.
5. It really is a 3 in 1 product!

The not so good :
1. The way it gets accumulated around the mouth of the tube. But this is such a minor issue, given the product's effectiveness.

Final word: I rate this 4.8/5. A very effective product for oily and acne prone beauties! Go for it girls!

Vichy NORMADERM deep cleansing purifying gel

Vichy NORMADERM deep cleansing purifying gel
Hey everyone!
Yeah its Friday!! But that doesn't matter to me, coz i have taken the entire week off to get some personal work done.  And in between here i am, squeezing sometime to update my blog. I know i am pretty irregular with blogging, nevertheless i am struggling to update it at least thrice a week. Now lets jump to the review.
A few months back, i tried the much raved about "Clinique 3 step skin care set" and had a very bad series of breakouts on my chin and jawline areas. It took me a month of trying various products to clear it up. And that was when i discovered my HG face wash - "Vichy NORMADERM deep cleansing purifying gel".

And i am on my second tube :D I looooove this face wash. Its a perfect product for acne prone skin.

Vichy says: Removes dead cells and unclogs pores. Opens pores, cleanses and purifies skin from deep within.

 Ingredients:
My experience: It is a runny, green colored gel and lathers quite well. It has Salicylic acid to dry out acne and heal them. In fact after starting to use this, i have noticed that my acne heals quicker with almost zero scarring. I have seen the small pimples or bumps on my face to subside and the bigger ones to dry and finally fall off.

Also the big pimples do not leave scars on my face while falling off. All i have to worry about are the old scars that are on my face right now. So the Salicylic acid in this face wash really works! It makes my face squeaky clean, of course dries my face a bit. But who cares? That can be fixed with a moisturizer! All i need is something to prevent acne and heal it really fast-and this does the job! I love the smell of this product. Actually this face wash along with the Vichy NORMADERM Tri active cleanser worked wonders on my face in reducing the breakout and leaving my face scar less. I love this face wash and it has become my HG face wash and the latter by HG scrub!

Price: Rs.440 for 100 ml.
It is actually worth the price as one tube had last for almost 6 months! The amount that i have showed at the back of my hand is all i need for one wash!

The good:
1. Awesome product for clearing acne, lathers well and cleans the face.
2. Doesn't give a stretchy feeling after using this (it dries my face a tiny bit but does not strip the oils on my face)
3. One tube goes a long way, so it is very economical.
4. It is available online and at all H&G stores.
5. Has a pleasant smell.

The not so good:
1. The only con i could find is the presence of SLS.

Final word: I rate this 5/5. I strongly recommend this product to acne prone girls/ladies out there.

Happy new year and I AM BACK!!!

Hey everyone!
Wish you all a very happy and joyful new year!
I now, i am very very late in wishing you. I owe you some explanation as to why i had taken some time months off from blogging. I had to work my a** off for something important for my career (will let you know the details once everything is through) and i was advised staying away from my "blog" till i accomplish it by my parents! So now am done accomplishing the "task"  of course with great success (i know lot you might actually be cursing me for building so much suspense, please hold on for a few more months, i will update what my "so important" task was). Back to blogging with great joy!
I hauled a few Sleek stuff a few months back and became too busy to even click pictures of my products. I would like to make a comeback by posting my Sleek haul!
Enjoy the pictures. And let me know which one of these do you want me to review first.
If you are wondering why i got 2 palettes of oh so special and original, then check the next two pictures :(
This was their condition when i opened them and i was shattered! I immediately clicked pictures of these and uploaded it on the sleek Facebook page and mentioned my order number. They were nice enough to send me 2 new palettes :) I was happy even though two eye shadows came crumbled in one of the palettes.
And here is a small EOTD. Please please put up with my unconcealed dark circles (which are refusing to get concealed) and my untrimmed eye brows.
Am just a beginner, hope you guys will be nice enough to excuse my shabbiness :)
So that is all for today! You can expect regular reviews and looks here from now on :)
